With over 40 years of experience in the bike industry—including shop management, professional mechanic certifications, and extensive hands-on training—I’ve pretty much done it all. Though mostly retired now, I still love working on bikes and want to stay connected to the cycling community here in Lawrence.
Lawrence is lucky to have a top-tier shop like Cycle Works on Kasold—Keith and his crew are excellent, and I highly recommend them. That said, like any busy shop, turnaround times can be long, and labor costs understandably reflect the overhead of running a business.

I operate out of a fully equipped, private workshop in East Lawrence, offering quick, reasonably priced repairs. Here’s how it works:
You bring the bike to me, and we’ll go over it together.
I’ll give you a clear estimate of what it needs—both in labor and parts.
You can choose to source parts through me, a local shop, or online—whatever works best for your budget.
I stock most common consumables and can guide you if you’d like to order specialty parts yourself to save some cash.
Low-volume work means fast turnaround—most jobs are done in less than a week.
